Today I took grandma to get her shot, and then had to go to my appointment in port. After my appointment we made our Dobby run. We had to get there to sign some important paper, but when we got there. No one knew anything about it! We had to wait about a half an hour. She said we could sit in the lobby, but we told her we would be visiting. So we went to visit the toad ...but he wasn't looking to good. He barley acknowledged us, and had no idea who Kyla was, and for the first time ever didn't smile or give her a kiss? So we stayed a little bit, but then went back to the office, because he obviously needed some rest? We waited another minute, but the social worker who had this so important paper was still busy. So I told the receptionist well, whatever we are going now. So she called up the social worker and said oh, she mailed it, you should get it in a day or two..... Yeah thanks.... grrr.

Well today I got a call from grandma to get her right away! The hospice nurse had called her and said Toad was doing very badly and we should get there ASAP! She was also amazed that no one from the home had called to tell us his health was declining? So we got there and grandma called June. When we got there Linda and Renee where already there. June had just left for a car ride to Horicon...so much for relaxing. So it took her awhile to get there. Dobby really didn't look good. He looked just as dazed as he did Thursday, but much weaker. He was on oxygen assistance. And guess what number oxygen machine he had? #13! There was a picture of a kid up on grandpa's board on Thursday, and we thought it was his roommate’s grandkid or something. But it was grandpa's notice bored so grandma asked about it. Linda said it was Brian and Julies kid. Her name is Alyssa and she was born October 2007, apparently a Disney souvenir. Oh well that explains why he acted so wired Thursday, He was probably confused. Well June and Russ arrived a little after that and it was getting crowded. Then Anne, Russ and Jim showed up and it was really stuffed! So the nurses moved his bed back into his old room, so it would be more privet and we would have more room. We stayed late, but with Kyla not too late. So we left around 8:30ish, so I could get Kyla to bed. (But we did stop at McD’s to grab some supper) which was good because we forgot about lunch :P

Grandpa Toad is still hanging on! But grandma is my babysitter and we really wanted to spend more time so. I took off work, for Monday and Tuesday.  Matt came with and we visited. We have Dobby’s little stuffed dog resting on his chest, so we can watch the respirations.

Every day grandpa Toad has gotten more and more frail. But he is still hanging on.  I had daycare on Wednesday, so Kyla went then. Work was ok, and usually I don’t work on Thursday, but when needed, I guess I can, plus I have to make the $$$. Between Linda Anne and June. They have had someone always with him. But not anymore? June has been constantly coming over, (she even took off work for the week.) But then again when he was still ‘with it’ June was always visiting too. But anyway I got out of work and picked up grandma. Then we went directly to the home.  June was there with Russ, and they stayed as late as they could, but June needed some rest so she left a little earlier then usual. (Still pretty late though Kyla Nana and I stayed. (As late as you can with a lil one :P) but Kyla did well, she sang songs, like bitsy spider, little lamb and twinkle star. She is also very good at pretending to take people’s blood pressure. (Since this whole journey began she has said she is a doctor) And she does do a good job of ‘making people better’.  But it was getting late; we wondered if anyone else was coming because we didn’t want to leave him alone? But can’t do much so, we waited it out, but then had to take Kyla home for night nights. As we left we all gave him a kiss goodnight. Kyla said I love you grandpa and we went home.

Friday morning before work I got a call from grandma. June had picked her up early and they just got to the home- About 8:00 grandma and June came in and the doggie wasn't moving.
Grandpa had said that he didn’t want a ceremony because he rather people visited him in life.
I went to work, had a pretty regular day.  It helped to just do basic functions for a bit. I don’t know what else to do but there are a few things running threw my head like:

•    Rubber bands
•    BIG Rubber bands
•    Middle school
•    The godfather
•    Funny fake German accents

•    ‘nevermore’
•    The old projector and its movies
•    Beebe guns
•    Crushing cans
•    Mash lots and lots of mash

…but maybe I should just write that all down on a 3x5 card?
